Barkskin in Animal Form?

I thought I had read somewhere...can't remember where...that Barkskin was going to be castable in Bear and Cat form. I tested this last night and was popped out of form. So, clearly, either I dreamed it or it's not in yet.

Did anyone else hear about this or know anything or should I just accept that, perhaps, I was hallucinating?

Just cat forms. You might have read it here:

Hmmm....I tested it in cat form. I'll try again tonight just to be sure. I'll also test it in cheetah form.

It doesn't work yet; they just have plans to make it available in Cat and Travel Form. This was in response to cries for a Dire Cat Form on the German forums.

I thought part of the benefit of instant-form-shifting would be the ability to drink pots and cast instants "sorta" in forms.

By "sorta", my understanding was you could write a macro to cast/drink, which would pop you to caster form. But then in the same macro write a line to go back into cat (or bear or whichever) form. The net effect was you were in caster form for a sub-second period of time.

Maybe I understood it wrong, and maybe it won't work. I'll have to give it a try in any case.

@ Phaelia

Ok, thx Phaelia. Hopefully, they will get it to work soon...although, Dire Cat Form does sound cool.

@ Mike

I'll have to play with making a macro for that. I'm not sure, but I think the global cooldown will prevent it from being instant.

@mike and @ ferocious bite

ferocious bite is correct...anything that activates a gcd like Barkskin will not allow you to shift(/cancelform)-cast spell-shift(feral) instantly. Since pots and healthstones do not activate the gcd, you can use those in a macro to get a almost instant heal (0.5s or less I hear)
